Ah, that is true. MAHQ's reviews were written by one person years before it ever was revealed - and no one's bothered to check or change it.

I had thought they went by the tech manuals from Japan. I could be wrong as i never had the tech manuals in front of my face to read. The problem is I've used MAHQ as my best source for the stats on mobile suits and Gundams.

...they do.
But character fates aren't covered in technical manuals. And seeing how Gundam Ace is 100% official, it's better than a tech manual...

Yazan's cameo appearence was pretty easy to miss, so it's hard to blame Chris for not noting it. But let's be honest, Yazan died the instant Judau and co ruined his image, and whether or not he made a background appearence later on doesn't affect the plot whatsoever.

I don't even think that's Chris' review. I'm pretty sure that's Burke. Since I don't think ZZ's review section has been updated since Burke still ran MAHQ.

It has Chris' name at the top, so I'd assume so. I think Chris did/does all the Gundam reviews personally.

Judau does appear in one of the V Gundam manga's, and the Crossbone Gundam manga as the character Grey Stoke.

Way late in replying to this one but Chris usually only does the Gundam reviews, as from time to time in the news section he'll credit the members who submitted series reviews when there's an update.

Never does. The FAZZ is something that shows up only in sidestory novels and model kits. The ZZ itself does gain some armor during the final two episodes, but never becomes the FAZZ.

Your wrong. The Armored ZZ is actually called the Full Armor ZZ. Its just not abbreviated to FAZZ. There still is a Full Armor ZZ in the series.

You're wrong.
The FAZZ came after Gundam ZZ

Look, Full Armor serves as Gundam ZZ's attachment.

I believe that's exactly what Spitfire said...

Even then - it's not even called such in-series. It's just another lopping of armor plating atop the ZZ in order to try and let it take more of a beating due to a shaky frame thanks to the transformation mode.
However, it really just amplified problems.

The FAZZ, meanwhile, comes from Gundam Sentinel - not ZZ.

One question i have concerning the ending is how in the world did Judau and Roux become a couple at the end? From what i know, Judau's love life consisted mainly of him rejecting Ple's advances and connecting somewhat with Haman and i believe Judau and Roux all through the show had more of a professional relationship due to both being pilots and Roux rejecting Glemy's advances so Judau and Roux getting together seems kinda random to me, now that i think about it. And i don't really get why Leina couldn't come with them to Jupiter. Judau always knew Leina was still alive and in the end, they have a beautiful reunion and unless it was because the flight was completely booked, i'm sure they could've reserved Leina an extra seat.

It was kind of a hand-wave in terms of execution, but their relationship in the latter half of ZZ was decidedly closer than it was beforehand. It's just one of those odd moments from Tomino, really.

I've watched episodes 1-4 and started 6 only to be sort of board and find myself skipping through the episode to find a good fight or something. The only thing keeping me watching is I want to know whats going to happen to the characters from zeta gundam (just finished watching that and it was nutz!) Anyway... When does this nightmare of silly antics and goofy villainy end? The so called knight of neo zeon who carries a rose all the time and thinks of nothing but haman karn is extremely annoying. Not to mention I feel like they kind of took Karn's badass ruthless character and did a 180. But maybe shes just using him so she is still just as deceitful and menacing. (crosses fingers) So my question is, if I skip some episodes am I gonna miss any important plot points or do I have to sit through the fillers to follow whats going on later in the series? If I can skip some episodes then whats a good episode to skip to. I hear the second half of the series turns around and gets pretty good so Id like to give this series a chance.

If you need to skip ahead, skip ahead to about episode 15. From there, the series gets progressively better. However, you'll also miss rather important plot points in the series, so it's your choice.

I *LOVED* Gundam ZZ. While Zeta somewhat bored me (until the world-shattering finale), ZZ always managed to keep me interested, and I found it to be a good blend of drama, humour and action!

I know there are people who are convinced that Tomino didn't direct the first part... but considering Tomino also made light-hearted stuff like Xabungle, Daitarn 3 or Overman King Gainer, I don't think it would be strange for him to have been in charge of ZZ since the first episode.

It took a little while for me to get into ZZ Gundam. A lot of the comic relief stuff at first was a bit meh (though entertaining/amusing I must admit), but once things started to get more serious I really started to enjoy it.

But then the reason why I might have enjoyed those later parts more is because I was first exposed to the series through Dynasty Warriors Gundam (and its sequel), so the later characters were more farmiliar and obviously interesting to me.

I'd like to see ZZ dubbed in English. I've been dying to see it. As for Mineva, I believe that Cartious Vist tells Banadger that Mineva has escaped death many times. But omits Mineva's name... I guess for Banadger to figure out. I wonder how long it'll take Banadger to figure out Audery's real name is Mineva Lo Zabi?

In my opinion, if you ever feel the need to skip any episodes, then you might as well skip the whole series and read the synopsis. Sorry if I'm being kind of an elitist, but if you watch ZZ and don't like the show, then you might as well save yourself some time and skip it. "Filler" can be used quite loosely, and if you start labeling some episodes "filler" and skip them then you will definitely miss out on some important parts and hinder your enjoyment even further.

As for me, I thought it started out kinda slow (they didn't leave Shangrila until episode 5?!?!), but ended in an epic Gundam fashion true to the series. The humor seemed a bit unnecessary after coming from the serious Zeta series, but it grew on me as the series started to move on past the first couple of episodes.
