Minor SEED movie update
Posters on 2ch point out that Houko Kuwashima's diary on SEED Club's cellphone site says Stellar appears in the SEED movie. It's not clarified in what capacity the character appears though at this early stage, speculation favors a memory scene. _________________

Right-o.
Multiple things need to be shown - pardon, be written here. Let's update this decrepit thread for once, even if it's just for the sake of registering past things and acting as 'official' in-forum reference for various threads.

| Quote: | UPDATED
>> C.E.73 Stargazer updated its mechanic page with GSX-401 Stargazer and character page with Mudie Holcroft and Shams Couza.
GSX-401FW Stargazer
"The GSX-401FW Stargazer is a mobile suit developed independently by DSSD. Holding a neutral status with regards to both the Earth Alliance & PLANT, DSSD created the unit as a non-combat mobile suit with the objective of exploring space beyond Mars. It's most notable features are the interplanetary propulsion system known as the Voiture Lumiere and its ability to be used largely unmanned thanks to its high degree of autonomy. The machine itself as well as its operation support system are collectively designated as 'Guider UNmanned Deployment Autonomic Manipulation'. The abbreviation for this is 'GUNDAM'."
Mudie Holcroft
"18-year-old female. Natural. Phantom Pain mobile suit pilot. Rank: 2nd Lieutenant. Belongs to the same MS platoon as Sven. Orphaned when she was very young and underwent complete training as a soldier for anti-Coordinator warfare at an institution for children. Her make-up is as eccentric as her personality. Always tense and even though she appears frank with others, that's only on the surface. She's missing an essential human sentiment and that mentality prevents her from understanding everyone else and, perhaps, herself as well. When in combat, she exterminates her enemies completely without mercy. Piloting the GAT-X1022 Blu Duel, she excels in close-combat."
Shams Couza
"19-year-old male. Natural. Phantom Pain mobile suit pilot. Rank: Lieutenant Junior Grade. Belongs to the same MS platoon as Sven. As with his comrades, orphaned when he was very young and underwent training as a soldier for anti-Coordinator warfare at an institution for children. A cynic who consistently views everything from a defiant standpoint. Flies the long-range artillery mobile suit GAT-X103AP Verde Buster but is an all-rounder who can also skillfully handle close combat. Wears glasses but these are just plano lenses for show as his eyesight seems to be fine."
Minor note: Bandai Channel's Stargazer page gives different dates for when the episodes will be made available than the ones announced last month.
Stage 1 - July 14 to August 18
Stage 2 - August 18 to September 22
Stage 3 - September 22 to October 10 |
NOTE: http://www.b-ch.com/sg/ is supposed to be the official stream download webpage so for those who want to check once in a while to catch the SG eps, please commit this memory or save it somewhere so that you won't have to ask the question till the end of times.

'Profiles were updated on the mechanics and characters pages:
GAT-01A2R 105 Slaughter Dagger
"The GAT-01A2R 105 Slaughter Dagger is the primary mobile suit of Phantom Pain, the Earth Alliance forces' informal 81st Independent Mobile Battalion. The prototype was the Alliance's mass-production model 105 Dagger. Phantom Pain, being under Logos' direct control within the Earth Alliance and not the regular military's, has its own distinct criteria regarding choice of weaponry. As a result, they employ both the standard military's GAT-04 Windam as well as the 105 Slaughter Dagger. The unit has Phantom Pain's own minor changes from the original 105 Dagger, such as the use of the AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker as a standard armament. Developed for mid-range combat mobility, the Aile Striker equipment was battle-proven by the exploits of the Alliance's first mobile suit ace pilot, Kira Yamato. With the combination of the 105 Dagger base unit and the Aile Striker, the resulting versatility & reliability can be said to be a highly aggressive system configuration."
Sol Ryuune L'ange
"16-years-old. Male. 1st generation Coordinator. GSX-401FW Stargazer test pilot. 2 years ago, he became orphaned when he lost his DSSD staff member parents in an accident in space. Afterwards, he came to live with his uncle, Edmund du Clos. Has a brother-sister kind of connection with Selene, who had also lost her parents in the same incident. When he was 15, he aimed to work for DSSD as his parents did so he endeavored to be the mobile suit GSX-401FW Stargazer's test pilot for the sake of space exploration & development. Brought up since birth with DSSD, he lived in an environment unlike that of PLANT and the Earth, free from discrimination. Sol is compelled by the war to think deeper about the relationship between Naturals & Coordinators and to know the reason why he is a Coordinator while his parents were Naturals. Now with his parents gone, he walks the same path his father & mother did to try and find the answer."' _________________

"Moonphase reports a new Gundam series is under consideration for Oct 2007 directed by Seiji Mizushima, director of Full Metal Alchemist. If true, it will occupy the Saturday 6pm slot on TBS. Currently Blood+ occupies this slot with Aykashi Ayashi taking over this Fall. This info is based on leaked internal source so take it with grain of salt."
Comment: Whether this concerns CE or not is not stated but since we're awaiting info on the future of the Cosmic Era universe it wouldn't do harm to place this here. _________________

"The Bandai Channel put up a notice saying that the 3rd episode of Stargazer will be delayed until September 29th."
Comment: due to the now recurrent date changes and delays the series has seen these past months, I suggest to still keep this piece of information as a 'temporary airing date' until the third promo trailer will get out, along with the final, official release date. _________________

TMF/A-802W2 Kerberos BuCUE Hound
"A 3-headed unit derived from ZAFT's four-legged model mobile suit, the TMF/A-802 BuCUE. Compared to the existing BuCUE, its been given enhanced offensive ability for close quarters mobile combat. The attachment bolted on to the back's turret system implements a shared armament with ZAFT's two-legged model Zaku series, conforming with the Wizard standard. Use of the Wizard system as well as existing backpack weapons is possible, considerably expanding the choice of practical firepower for the BuCUE series and largely mitigating the burden of logistics.
The head unit, converted from existing models, was developed at the same time to link with the Kerberos Wizard. What appears to be the jaw at first glance is a retractable guard that stores the main sensor. Together with the Wizard's two heads, these units have a beam fang system that shows its might in melee combat. One beam cannon each is stored in the retractable sections of the Wizard's head units."
Comment: as a footnote to this update, it should also be noted that the Stargazer site has now reorganized the mechanics page into three sections, namely DSSD, Phantom Pain and ZAFT. _________________

Moderator note: if you have a request or a question pertaining to trailers, downloads and files, please ask this in a more appropriate thread. If you have a torrent to submit, then please post the url in the downloads section. You want to get alternate addresses or download links or anything like that? Then please pm an admin, global mod or Gundam folder mod.
There is a discussion-free thread here, just posting official tidbits and announcements as well as spoilers coming from the multiple sources listed in the 1st post, in the previous page.

Update of Strgazer from Gunota:
UT-1D Civilian Astray DSSD Custom:
"The Civilian Astray DSSD Custom is a mobile suit owned by the deep-space surveying & development organization DSSD. The unit itself, which has the potential for self-defense & operating in the void of space, is a multipurpose model civilian machine to the extent that the model number 'UT' designates utility. DSSD obtained these units with the cooperation of the Junk Guild and Orb engineers who fled Morgenroete, Inc. because of the Alliance in the previous great war. The ones used as basis for development are the Morgenroete prototype mobile suit MBF-P series and the space-use M1A Astray. The head, with an optical sensor upgraded to high-precision to meet DSSD's requested specifications, has a unique appearance due to the special visor for preventing collisions with micro-debris. The V-style antenna is of a detailed, propulsion regulateable type with the thruster group arranged in a simple, integrated antenna system. Together with the M1A's high AMBAC traceability, it has a subtle yet responsive high mobility capability. Its characteristic thrusters centered on the back are an electromagnetic propulsion system precusor to the Voiture Lumiere." _________________

The official site added info to its GSX-401FW Stargazer profile:
"The back-equipped Voiture Lumiere is an interplanetary thruster and a revolutionary propulsion system the Stargazer, developed with the intent of forging through vast solar system regions, is equipped with to make voyages into interplanetary space unaided. Named after 'radiant bearer' in French (note: the exact English wording of this is very debateable), from the ring-shaped structure, which freely transforms by means of a variable arm mechanism, the system generates thrust with high amounts of g's for long periods of time, accompanied by a vivid luminescent phenomenon."
Comment:
Major fail for the attempt to use French vocabulary. "Voiture Lumière" litterally means, "Motorcar (of) Light". "Radiant bearer" in French would be "porteur de lumière". "Voiture" means "car," not "bearer."
...Whatever, huh?
