Phrase-03
PROPHESIED GUNFIRE

This episode starts off in a short recount of the earlier episode. It continues in a battle to retrieve the 3 new ZAFT mobile suits from "Bogey-1" which in other words is an EAF ship. Rey Za Burell and Shinn Auska are engaged in battle with Neo Roanoke. He is piloting a Mobile armour (TS-MA4F Exus). Somehow, Rey Zaburell can sence when Neo is around. THe Menerva goes into battle with "Bogey-1". Normal procedure of activating all guns on both ships before starting battle. The EAF ship tries to escape. It succeeds after detaching and detonating it's side fuel tanks. The Minerva goes on full chase. In the meantime, in "Bogey-1", the memories of Auel, Stellar and Sting are being changed. Captain Gladys, the chairman, Cagalli and Arthrun go into a discussion. The Chairman shows Arthrun and Cagalli around the ship. Quite soon after that, the Minerva finds "Bogey-1" and engages in battle. "Bogey-1" anchors onto an asteroid and it prepares to ambush the Minerva. Cagalli, Arthrun and the chairman are watching the battle from the bridge of the ship. The episode ends in a cliffhanger of the 3 ZAFT mobile suits heading out to face "Bogey-1".



Phrase 04
BATTLE FIELD OF STARDUST

This episode starts off again with a small replay of the earlier episode. Lunamaria tells everyone that her results in a training excersise for debris were not good. The troops in the Minerva are very nervous for they cannot see their enemies hidden in the debris. The Chaos, Gaia and Abyss are waiting to ambush the Minerva. "Bogey-1" is also going to ambush them. The chairman continues talking to Cagalli. Shinn amd the rest of the crew are wondering why "Bogey-1" is not attacking. The Chaos, Gaia and the Abyss are all attacking. Some of the Ginns which the Minerva launched were destroyed immediately. "Bogey-1" launches Strike Daggers. "Bogey-1" attacks with the help of the Strike Daggers. Cagalli tells the pilot of the Minerva to move around an asteroid. Arthrun is mad and the chairman is wondering whta he is going to do. Another ZAFT Ginn is killed by the Abyss. The 3 pilots of ZAFT suddenly realize that they had been trapped. Lunamaria and Stellar go into a 1 on 1 fight. Luna's unit is damaged and Shinn saves her just in time. Minerva is in a tight spot. They cannot return fire because of the fragments. "Bogey-1" attacks the astroid to shower the Minerva with rocks. The Minerva is very damaged by the rocks. To make things worse, Neo Roanoke launches in his Mobile Armour. Even worse, the Minerva's thrusters are damaged and rocks are blocking their paths. Captain Gladys insists that Rey launches. One of the crew members asks if more Mobile Suits should be launched but the Minerva was out of pilots. At this, Arthrun tenses up in his seat. Even the Bow Guy of the Minerva cannot be used to blow the Dibriss away. Rey is determined to protect the Minerva because the Chairman is on the ship. Neo senses Rey. Arthrun suggests a way to escape from the astroid. The chairman supports Arthrun. Captain Gladys orders what Arthrun told them to be done. Rey destroys the Strike Daggers before they can attack the Minerva. Neo tries to stop them but is unseccessful. Lunamaria and Shinn are still engaged in battle with the Chaos, Gaia and Abyss. "Bogey-1" starts to attack the Minerva. Everyone in the Minerva braces for a shockwave. The captain of "Bogey-1" is shocked at how the Minerva escapes. All guns of Minerva target "Bogey-1". The Bow Gun of the Minerva damages the EAF ship a lot. Neo was going to finish the Minerva off when Rey stopped him. "Bogey-1" launches flares telling all their units to retreat. Stellar is relieved when she sees the flares. The Minerva fires it's flares too. The chairman appologies and talks with Cagalli. Luna's sister tells Rey, Luna and Shinn about Arthrun's identity. Arthrun thinks over all that was said earlier and remembers what has happened before in his life. Arthrun overhears the conversation between Shinn, Rey and Lunamaria. In the meantime, every single avaliable person is repairing the Minerva. Shinn thinks of his sister (Mayu).

September 8

Phase 31 – The Never Ending Night

When Shinn gets back to the Minerva, he gets handcuffed and taken directly to Capt. Talia. She asks Shinn if he knew how serious situation his situation is and why he gave Stellar back to the Alliance. Shinn then tells her that he overheard her talking about giving Stellar to the council still alive if possible.

Shinn then gets sent to the brig. Athrun then goes in to talk about what he Shinn just did. Shinn then tells him that Stellar really shouldn’t die and she doesn’t deserve to either. Athrun however, tells him that she is still the enemy and she is a MS pilot.

When Neo gets back to the base with Stellar, Lord Jibril tells Neo that Stellar is to pilot the new Destroy gundam and that she is to wipe out cities. Neo seems to be unwilling to do so because he believes that there is no point of his plan.

Later, Stellar and Sting wake up from being in the pods. Then Neo takes her to the Destroy gundam and tells her what she has to do. Stellar gets upset about going into battle again and tells Neo that she really doesn’t want to die. Neo then tells her that there are big bad things our there that will kill her and himself if she doesn’t kill them.

ZAFT forces attempt to take out the Destroy gundam but is unsuccessful and are wiped out by Stellar easily. Because of the positron deflectors equipped on the Destroy, she deflects the positron cannons shot at her and she also counterattacks the ground forces, causing much more of the ZAFT forces being destroyed and also stops escaping civilians.

September 9

Phase 32 - Stellar

The ZAFT forces are still trying to fight Stellar and the Destroy Gundam. Civilians are still running everywhere trying to bet to safety as more tanks and MS fire.

The scene then turns to Lord Jibril as he laughs at the destruction of Berlin. The president of the Alliance wonders how much more destruction the Destroy is going to cause and Jibril replies that it'll continue until all coordinators and whoever believes that coordinators are not a threat are annihilated.

Then, after another positron blast at the Destroy, the Freedom arrives, shocking Neo, Sting and Stellar. Kira shoots beams at the Destroy but gets reflected and Stellar gets mad. She attempts to get rid of the Freedom by using the circumference beam cannon but Kira blocks it.

Stellar continues to miss as she fires four positron cannons simultaneously at the Freedom. Sting and Neo also attempts to help her by also firing at the Freedom but they too, miss.

At the Supreme Council Meeting, many of the seated members ask Durandal if they could retreat as their forces are rapidly declining, but he said that there's no point since it's not going to stop the problem.

On the Archangel, Cagalli gets ready to launch via her Strike Rouge as well as some Murasumes piloted my the ORB group that's on the Archangel.

The Minerva then arrives at the scene shocked to see that the Archangel is also involved. Capt. Talia tells Shinn that since they are unable to contact the other ZAFT forces he shouldn't treat the Archangel as an enemy and to focus on the Destroy. Shinn then launches and hits one of the Destroys legs, which got Stellar more angered. The Destroy then fires missiles and beam cannons etc. at the Impulse, which dodged all of them. Shinn then starts to wonder why the pilot is carelessly firing like so.

When Shinn was going to fly directly to the Destroy to attack it, Neo in the Windam intercepts him and tells him that the pilot of the Destroy is Stellar. Shinn then zooms in his view of the cockpit to see Stellar inside. Then Kira fires at the cockpit shattering the glass around it. Neo tries to get him to stop firing at her and Kira tells the Archangel to deal with him. Then Neo in his Windam gets shot by the Archangel. The Windam then drops down to the ground and his mask falls off his face, revealing it. Murrue is then shocked to see who Neo really was as Stellar is enraged that Neo has been shot down and cries out his name.

While Sting in his Chaos gundam fights the Murasumes, he sends a message back that he is retreating. The Murasume however, slices the mobile suit in half thus defeating him. Sting did survive the attack though.

Because of the Chaos and the Windam being defeated Stellar goes frantic and fires her positron cannons. Shinn then tells her to stop and yells out her name. When the Freedom attempted another blast at the Destroy, Shinn told him to stop and that he has no idea who was piloting the MS. Shinn then attempts to communicate with Stellar and tries to calm her down. Upon hearing his words Stellar stops firing. The Freedom then flies down as something near the Destroy explodes and Stellar goes ballistic again. As she was getting ready to fire her positron cannons once again, Kira flies in and destroys the chest cannon, which explodes as a positron beam flies out of the Destroy's head. The Destroy gundam is they destroyed as it falls to the ground.

Then it the scene quickly changes to show Murrue who approached the destroyed Windam and Neo, who looked VERY similar to Mwu La Flaga, her previous lover and an old comrade of hers on the Archangel.

Shinn then flies down to the remains of the Destroy and finds Stellar. He then holds her and Stellar whispers his name. Stellar tells Shinn to protect her from death. Right before she dies, she tells Shinn, "Shinn ... suki," which meant Shinn, I love you. Shinn cries out Stellar's name as she dies and her arm drops to the ground. Shinn then brings her to a nearby lake and sinks her as he cries out Stellar's name as well as many tears.

September 9

Phase 33 - Revelation for the world

In his room, Shinn looks at footages of the Freedom's past battles, as Athrun walks in. Shinn and Rey then state that the Freedom is probably the strongest mobile suit right now and that they should train with it in mind. Rey and Shinn also tell Athrun that they don't know what the Freedom's intentions are and what it's going to do in the future. Also, they tell him that the Freedom has gotten into their way during battles too. Athrun then leaves and Shinn thinks of Stellar's death. He then states that he will defeat the Freedom for sure.

In the Archangel's infirmary, Murrue watches over Neo as he continues to rest. Kira then comes in and asks about him. Murrue then tells him that after an examination, the results show that Neo's physical data is exactly the same as the data the Archangel has of Mwu. Kira confirms that he is in fact Mwu La Flaga, the Archangel's major. However when Neo wakes up, he asks since when did he get lowered from a colonel to a major. He also tells then that just because he is a prisoner on their ship, they can't lower his status like that. Murrue then runs out of the infirmary crying since Neo/Mwu has no memory of her. Kira then also leaves and wonders why he was re-enlisted in the Alliance military.

On the Minerva, repairs are being done and units are being replaced. Lunamaria and Athrun have a short conversation about Shinn and him being a "super ace" which gives him an excuse to get out of sticky situations.

On the PLANTs, Chairman Durandal makes a broadcast and talks about the situation of the war between the Alliance and ZAFT. He tells everyone that this is because of the different intentions of Earth's nations and shows clips of the Destroy gundam burning away many Eurasian cities. Lord Jibril commands for the broadcast to stop but fails and Durandal continues his broadcast by saying that the Alliance is responsible for the death of many civilians that was blamed onto ZAFT. He also says that ZAFT has attempted to end the war and to establish peace but all the Alliance has done killing more and more people. Meer standing behind Durandal tells everyone that there is no peace in having a war and that they should return to living in a world with kindness.

Then Durandal talks about Logos being behind everything and their members being "Merchants of death". He reveals their names and shows pictures of the members of logos.

Phase 34 - Nightmare

After the announcement by Durandal, the Archangel attempts to go to ORB but gets attacked by ZAFT forces. Kira launches in the Freedom and defends the Archangel as it tries to leave. The Minerva then gets ordered to attack the Archangel and Athrun tries to argue with Capt. Talia about attacking them. Talia tells him that the Archangel is not an ally.

As the battle begins, Shinn launches in his Impulse hoping that he will take down Kira’s Freedom. The Minerva then contacts the Archangel and tells it and it’s crew to surrender so no destruction will take place. Murrue however tells them that in no way are they going to surrender. Shinn and Kira battle each other and Shinn takes the upper hand using different strategies and tactics he learned about when he was looking at the Freedom’s previous battles. After a few quick moves, Shinn throws a boomerang at Freedom, which dodges it, but the Impulse gets out a sword and strikes the Freedom. In an attempt to block the strike, the Freedom uses it’s shield but the sword penetrates Freedom’s shield and into the middle of the gundam causing an explosion. After defeating the Freedom and Kira, Shinn, still in the Impulse, laughs and says Stellar’s name, happy that he has got revenge.

Phase 35 – Chaos Ahead

A recap of the Freedom and Impulse’s battle shows and a nuclear explosing following the Freedom’s defeat is also shown. The heavily dmamged Archangel goes underwater and detaches an engine in an attempt to fool the Minerva that it has been destroyed.

After Shinn gets back to the Minerva, the whole crew congratulates him. Athrun however, stands away from him because of Kira’s apparent death, but Shinn, seeing this, goes up to him telling Athrun that he has taken revenge for him as well as Athrun. Because of that, Athrun grabs onto Shinn’s collar and yells at him, telling him that Kira never wanted to kill him but he had to kill Kira.

Gilbert makes another announcement about the war. Scenes of people arresting members of Logos is then shown. Because of what the Chairman is doing, Jibril and other members attempt to escape.

Back on the Archangel, Kira is seen on a bed in the infirmary. Neo comments that the Impulse’s pilot is very strong and also asks questions about the Archangel until Murrue comes in. She tells everyone that they are going to ORB. Neo asks what he will be doing once they get to ORB. He also asks who Mwu La Flaga was to her. She replies that he was an irreplaceable comrade of hers that died.

Durandal heads to Earth and reads about the destruction of the Freedom gundam and the uncomfirmed destruction of the Archangel. He then requests information on the hijacked shuttle. Upon arriving at Gibraltar, Shinn asks what’s happening next. Rey tells him that there is going to be another operation. Shinn and Athrun are then called in by the Chairman and Shinn comments on the announcement that the Chairman previously made. Durandal leads the two to two new gundams, the Legend and the Destiny. He tells them that those two are going to be their new gundams, making Shinn very happy but leaves Athrun uncertain.

The new version of the DOM Trooper is first deployed in C.E. 74 during ZAFT's attack on the Orb Union, codenamed Operation Fury. Piloted by three former ZAFT pilots, the DOM Troopers make an impressive show of force against the ZAFT forces with their coordinated "Jet Stream Attack”. This gundam has appeared on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY.

General Information:

This is a compilation of four 90-minute releases that covers all 50 episodes of the TV series. It features some new scenes and revamps of certain scenes. Unlike the TV series, which centers on Kira and Shinn's stories, the Special Edition is told through Athrun Zala's point of view.

Phase 36 - Athrun Escapes

Athrun, still shocked about being given the new gundam, asks Chairman Durandal why he ordered the defeat of the Archangel and the Freedom. Durandal tells him that it's because they have interfered too much and have also attacked ZAFT forces, making them enemies. After, as Durandal talks with Rey, Meer walks by and finds a picture of Athrun's meeting with Kira and them. She hurries off to find Athrun.

In his room, Athrun thinks about Kira and the meeting they had. Just then, Meer comes in and informs him about what is going to happen and shows him a picture of his meeting. MPs knock on the door and the window shatters. They knock down the door and they see Meer pointing at the broken window, signaling them that Athrun left via the window. The MPs then turns to leave but Athrun, who was hiding, knocked them out and left with Meer. As they reached some stairs, Meer suddenly changed her mind and wanted to stay. She tells Athrun that is Lacus and that will not leave. Athrun then leaves her as she sits on the stairs.

Athrun runs and as MPs catch up with him, he runs into a room, Meyrin's room. Meyrin, shocked, gets her mouth covered so she'll stay silent and Athrun quickly tells her what's going on. With quick thinking, Meyrin strips down to her undergarments (in front of Athrun) and gets herself wet. When the MPs knocked on her door, she wrapped a towel around her and answered. Lunamaria, who was also there, scolded the MPs as well as Meyrin for answering the door half naked.

After the MPs and Lunamaria leave, Athrun uses a nearby computer to find the quickest escape route. The two are then seen running in an alleyway and get into a vehicle. Meyrin then stops the car when they reach a GOUF and Rey finds them. Rey shoots at both Athrun and Meyrin even though Athrun told him that Meyrin was also there with him. Athrun and Meyrin then hop into the GOUF and attempts to leave. Shinn is told to launch in his Destiny and that Legend was also to launch. Rey tells Shinn that Athrun has deflected and is leaving in a GOUF.


Phase 37 - The Thundering Darkness

A recap of the previous episode is shown. Shinn and Rey launch in the Destiny and Legend gundams, going after Athrun. Just then, Chairman Durandal gets informed that the computer that shut down the security system was the one in Meyrin's room, leaving Lunamaria shocked. Durandal asks where Meyrin is, but the soldier doesn't know. They contact Rey and asks him if he saw Meyrin when he found Athrun. Rey tells them that he did see Meyrin but she was not taken as hostage. In fact, Athrun was protecting her and they both went onto the GOUF. Rey then asks permission to shoot down the GOUF since having Meyrin defect from ZAFT may lead to many secrets leaking out.

Legend and Destiny fires and the GOUF and Athrun tries to tell Shinn the truth. However, Rey tells him that it's a lie. Athrun tries to damage the two other gundams but is having much trouble. Athrun continues to try and convince Shinn that what Rey and Durandal are saying is wrong but Shinn still won't believe him, so he asks them to at least let Meyrin off the GOUF. Rey then says that she's already a traitor and there's no point in keeping her anyways. After more hits and misses, Shinn enters SEED mode. He thinks back about the deaths of Stellar and Mayu and then strikes the GOUF's right arm and straight through the cockpit.

Gilbert, Talia and the others get notified of the incident and leaves Lunamaria in shock. Talia and Gilbert talk about what happened.

After, Shinn and Rey talk with Gilbert and ask about the reason behind the betrayal of Athrun and Meyrin.

Back on the Minerva, preparations are being made. As Shinn and Rey walk by Lunamaria, Shinn apologizes and Lunamaria breaks into tears. Rey then leave the two as they hug each other.

After, Lacus talks about ORB being the next possible target for attacks. Then it shows Shinn with Mayu's cell phone, Meer, and also, Athrun on a hospital bed still alive.

Phase 38 - A New Flag

A recap of episode 37 is shown. ZAFT fleets are then shown outside of Heaven's Base. Inside, Jibril comments on Gilbert Durandal. The person sitting next to him then asks if they're able to defend with what they have. The group of Logos' leaders talk about the situation and Jibril adds in that Durandal is a big fool for attacking them right now.

On the Minerva, Rey is changing into his pilot suit as Lunamaria walks in. She talks to Shinn about getting his Impulse and asks if she'll pilot it as well as Shinn did. She also talks about what happened with Athrun and Meyrin. Lunamaria blames the situation on Logos and also, gets herself and Shinn crying.

A soldier of the Alliance tells Jibril that preparations were ready, but it'll be hard to win the fight. Jibril then tells him that the one who fires first will win the fight. The Alliance fires missiles at the ZAFT fleet which shocks them. The Mobile Suits and Mobile Armors are then signalled to launch from both sides. Sting launches in a Destroy gundam and flys off.

On the Archangel, Athrun wakes to see Kira standing nearby. Athrun thinks back to the scene when Shinn destroyed the Freedom and Kira tells him that he's fine and that Athrun himself is still alive.

Back on the Minerva, Talia and Gilbert are both shocked at hearing that there are five giant mobile suits (Destroy gundams). Durandal then orders them to engage in combat. After Rey requests to launch, he and Shinn launch in the Legend and Destiny.

While fighting the Destroys, Shinn remembers about the Extendeds and what the Alliance did to them. He then enters seed mode and starts slicing Destroys. Lunamaria destroys one of the giant mobile suits and Rey comments on how great she was. Lunamaria replies, "I am one of the reds you know." Then, Shinn attacks directly at the cockpit of the Destroy gundam that Sting is piloting and kills him as well as the gundam.

Then many short scenes are shown as the episode ends.

Hi Afe. I checked Gundams.net and saw that my previous information wasn't up yet, so I reposted it here. I will add more to this in the coming days.

In the summaries, I tried to combine the actual scope as well as the new/changed scenes. Tell me if you approve of this, or if you find it too long; whatever comments you may have.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny: Special Edition
General Information:

This is a compilation of four 90-minute releases that covers all 50 episodes of the TV series. It features some new scenes and revamps of certain scenes. Unlike the TV series, which centers on Kira and Shinn's stories, the Special Edition is told through Athrun Zala's point of view.

Releases and Summaries:
Special Edition I: The Broken World (episodes 1-13 of the series) - released February 23, 2006.

It starts with a sequence of several new scenes: Kira and Lacus on the beach, Athrun and Cagalli preparing to launch to the PLANTs, Shinn and Rey training with their mobile suits at Armory One, and the Junius-7 terrorists before the start of their mission.

Athrun and Cagalli visit PLANT to meet with Chairman Gilbert Dullindal when chaos ensues after ZAFT's newest mobile suits Chaos, Gaia, and Abyss are stolen from Armory One. Several new fight scenes of Athun battling the three mobile suits in a ZAKU are added. There is a noticeable lack of block words for the enemy pilots.

The Minerva launches into space with Cagalli and Athrun and when Rey and Neo meet in battle for the first time, it is only Rey who feels a Newtype reaction to the other man. Shortly afterward, when Junius 7 is manipulated out of orbit by a group of terrorists loyal to Patrick Zala, several new battle scenes are added. Damaged, the Minerva descends to Earth and head to ORB for repairs and to bring Cagalli home.

Athrun meets Kira and informs him, instead of Cagalli, that he will go to the PLANTs. When Athrun bids goodbye to Cagalli, instead of kissing her on the lips, he kisses her on the cheek and does not blush. He also reflects on the necklace Cagalli gave him.

Shinn visits an ORB memorial and meets Kira there. His attitude towards Cagalli has toned down. The memorial scene is redrawn differently.

In reaction to the Junius-7 incident, the EAF attacks PLANT with nuclear weapons. The battle culminates in the near-destruction of Aprilius One. The Minerva leaves ORB waters following an anonymous tip that ORB would soon join the EAF, but an Earth Alliance fleet attacks them outside ORB territorial waters. ORB would not let them return so they fight desperately, until Shinn breaks into SEED mode. A new insert song, "Zips" by TM Revolution plays in the background.

Meanwhile Lacus is targeted by assassins. Kira is much more expressive. When he asks for the keys to Freedom's hangar, he shows concern. When the ASH pilot commits suicide, Kira is shocked.

Special Edition II: Respective Swords (episodes 14-28 of the series) - released August 25, 2006

Aboard the Archangel, Kira and friends discuss the assassination attempt. Instead of joining later in the series, Miriallia Haw is already aboard the ship. In the series, significant events that follow are Kira's abduction of Cagalli from her wedding ceremony to Yuuna Roma Seiran and Athrun's reinstation into ZAFT.

While sitting in his office, Dullindal is informed that the Minerva has reached the ZAFT Carpentaria base. He wonders if Shinn's SEED factor has awoken, showing he knows about it. He also wonders if he could beat Kira.

After a successful battle at Gulnahan, the Minerva heads to Diocvia to rest. During Meer's concert, short clips of the battle flash. Dullindal meets with the crew members of the Minerva. There is a new scene where Rey talks about war. Afterwards, when Dullindal asks Athrun about the Archangel, a short scene of the ship flashes, as well as a scene in which Kira repairs Haro while Lacus watches. Later it is revealed that Heine Westenfluss is joining the crew of Minerva.

Standing alone on a cliff, Shinn notices a girl fall into the ocean and he rescues her. The girl is Stellar Loussier, one of the three EAF Extended pilots who stole the Gundams. Stuck in a cove, Shinn call for rescue, and instead of Athrun, it's Lunamaria who comes to their aid.

The Minerva leaves Carpentaria but is attacked by the EAF and ORB at Dardanelles. The Archangel bursts from the ocean in a futile attempt to stop ORB. Some noticeable changes are the missing shots of Andrew Waltfeld's launch and fight scenes, and the encounter between Stellar and Heine. Stellar doesn't shout at Heine to move, and when she cuts through the GOUF, its camera eye is turned off. His image is not superimposed over the explosion.

After the battle, a new scene shows Lacus entering the Archangel's bath nude from behind.

Shinn and Rey discover an abandoned Extended laboratory. When Stellar overhears a conversation about the laboratory, her memories are triggered and she charges towards the facility in the Gaia but is taken down by Shinn and Athrun. Shinn takes her, wounded and unconscious, to the Minerva's infirmary without permission from Capt. Gladys. When Stellar awakens she attacks Shinn. Lunamaria is also present at the infirmary and her shocked face is shown when the captain and Athrun enter.

Lacus and Andrew prepare to leave for PLANT. The scene where Lacus tells Kira about the plan is modified: instead of mere gazes, they hug each other instead.

The Minerva sets off to deliver Stellar to a ZAFT research facility but EAF and ORB forces intercept them. Athrun and Kira fight and when the Saviour is disabled, it immediately loses power, causing it to phase shift down. This is a modification to the original scene.


Special Edition III: The Hellfire of Destiny (episodes 29-42 of the series) - released November 24, 2006

Shinn sneaks Stellar out and returns her to Neo. Stellar is given the GFAS-X1 Destroy mobile armor and proceeds to annihilate three cities, including Berlin. The Minerva and Archangel try to stop the Destroy. When Shinn approaches Stellar, his beam saber is turned off unlike in the series.

Significant events in the series that follows are Dullindal's speech where he points the blame for the destruction at EAF, Blue Cosmos, and LOGOS, the uprising against LOGOS leaders, and nations siding with PLANT.

ZAFT headquarters signals the start of "Operation Angel Down", of which Minerva is to participate in. The goal is to destroy the Archangel. Kira and Shinn's battle has new fast effects.

After Shinn defeats Freedom, the Minerva heads to Gibraltar. Dullindal calls Shinn and Athrun and unveils two new units, the ZGMF-X42S Destiny and the ZGMF-X66S Legend. Athrun is uncomfortable with the Chairman's propaganda and later escapes to a hangar with Meyrin in tow. Rey's dialogue is modified from "I won't let you betray Gil" to "We have no more use for you", highlighting how sinister he has become.

Athrun and Meyrin escape in a GOUF Ignited but are presumed dead when Shinn destroys it. They are rescued by Ledonir Kisaka, who brings them to the Archangel. When Athrun awakens, Cagalli, in addition to Kira, is watching over him.

ZAFT attacks Heaven's Base and are on the losing end until the Legend, Destiny, and Impulse launch. In a new scene, the Legend destroys several mobile suits among them a GAT-333 Raider Full Spec.

Martin Dacosta finds a notebook containing Dullindal's "Destiny Plan" on Mendel Colony. He brings it back to the Eternal. The scene where Andrew reads the contents of the notebook aloud is cut. Lacus and Andrew merely look at the notebook and give each other puzzled glances.

At ORB, Cagalli is bestowed the ORB-01 Akatsuki. Shinn attacks her in the Destiny and Kira comes to her aid in the Strike Freedom. The scene where Destiny runs low on power is cut, and new scene is added, where Rey and Luna look shocked as the Strike Freedom knocked off Destiny's sword and fired its railguns point-blank at Destiny.


Special Edition IV: The Cost of Freedom (episodes 43-50 of the series) - released February 27, 2007

Athrun launches in the Infinite Justice to aid Kira, who is fighting both Rey and Shinn. Several modifications happen in the fight sequences such as fast effects when Strike Freedom fires its chest cannons at Legend and Infinite Justice using its double beam sabers to fling Destiny off after its beam boomerang makes contact with the shield.

Djibril escapes in a high-speed shuttle and Lunamaria in the Impulse gives chase. The Impulse's firing stance is modified to highlight Lunamaria's difficulty in hitting it.

Djibril arrives at the Daedalus Lunar Base and orders the Requiem to fire, destroying six PLANT colonies. Destiny and Impulse infiltrate and destroy Requiem's controls and Djibril tries to escape in the Girty Lue but is caught by Rey, who utters some new lines before destroying the ship.

The Archangel prepares to depart for space. There is a new brief clip of Cagalli taking off the ring Athrun gave her during her speech before Archangel launches.

On a shopping trip at Copernicus City, Lacus receives a desperate note from Meer asking for help. The note now has proper English grammar, unlike in the series.

Dullindal calls for the implementation of the Destiny Plan, but is met by resistance from ORB, the Atlantic Federation, and the Kingdom of Scandinavia. ZAFT fires the newly-repaired Requiem at the EAF lunar base, killing the President of the Atlantic Federation. A new scene is where Kira senses and sees Rey as Rau Le Creuset while they battle.

A new scene of Athrun entering and leaving the Messiah with Kira is shown. In the series it is Kira alone.

An entirely new end credit sequence is shown. Kira returns to the PLANTs in a white ZAFT uniform while Athrun wears an Orb admiral's uniform. Hilda Harken, leader of the DOM Trooper Trio is a redcoat pilot. Dearka Elsman wears a black uniform instead of a green uniform. When Kira sees Lacus they happily embrace each other. The personnel surrounding them look bewildered and amused at this. Andy is shown sitting alone and Murrue and Mu are watching the sunset together. Cagalli in her ORB Representative uniform is shown walking down a hall with other Emirs. Lacus is escorted into the PLANT Supreme Council chamber by Yzak Joule and another officer.
